She also loved the balloons that the hardware store had connected to the mowers. The lawn mower salesman thought her enthusiasm was so funny that he gave her a balloon. It was very nice of him, but it was a large, black star balloon. A little odd for a baby to be carrying around a festival! A little morbid we thought, but Evie loved it and it's still floating around our house. :)
Once we were done checking out the mowers, we walked downtown to catch the parade and check out all the vendors and little shops. Evie thoroughly enjoyed the parade - her first since last year's Cherry Blossom Parade in DC. Oh and you can see that we also found a yellow balloon for Evie - the black looked better with a cheery yellow one beside it. ;)

After the parade we headed down to the kids area to see what they had. Home Depot had a fun booth set up where you could make a money saving house. Nathan and Evie decided that they just HAD to make one. :) She was very into the whole process...

And was very pleased with the result... :) (see the black balloon still in the background??? :))

I also just have to share a picture of our beautiful cherry blossom tree! We took this Saturday morning before all the rain and wind came through. Most of the petals are down now, but it's pretty even with the petals down - our yard, sidewalk, deck and cars are all covered with pink petals. :) I love it. Nathan thinks it's a little pink. ;)
I love those pictures!!! AND I get to see you TOMORROW!!!!!! Love you so much!
ReplyDeleteyay for parades! We had wanted to check out the Daf fest in Glouc - glad you went! Evie approved! Your place is sooo cute!
