I'm 2 months!

I'm two months old now! Mommy and Daddy can't believe how big I'm getting, but I'm only in the 30% for height and weight (10.9) so I'm still not all that big. My head, however, is in the 75%. No wonder it so tiring to hold perfectly upright all the time! I love to sleep, I love to snuggle, I love to smile, I love my swing, I love my baby bjorn, I love baths, and I love having a perfectly clean diaper. I also adore my big sister and like it when she comes in to get me up in the mornings. I sleep from 9ish-7:30/8ish so she is often up before me and gets to come in and get me. She has zero interest in holding me, but she likes to give me pats, hugs, kisses, and share her toys, so it's fine. :) My swing may be my best friend. It's running very low on batteries right now and we're trying to eek out every ounce of juice left while we wait for my amazon bulk battery order to arrive. If they don't arrive soon, however, there will be a crisis!

Lately...

We've been enjoying a slower summer and getting to spend time with our little family. Evelyn and Grace are both at such fun stages right now, they keep us quite entertained. :) Here are some pictures from the past month.
Evie is very into trying on clothes, especially if they are Gracie's our ours. :) She likes to "help" fold laundry. Here she is in Nathan's shirt (I'm *not* posting any pics of her wearing our underwear around on her head...)

We had our neighbors, Stacy and Lily, over for dinner and s'mores. Lily is 6 and Evelyn adores her. Lily is quite sweet with both Evelyn and Grace.

WISC Family Day

A few weeks ago WISC hosted their annual family day. It included their bounce house, gymnastics area, soccer fields, face painting, petting zoo, ambulance and fire truck and many local vendor stands. The bounce house and gymnastics obstacle course were the highlights for Evie. :)
She had no fear of jumping off the big blue block...
The ambulance and firetruck received a call while we were out looking at them so we got to watch then drive away with their lights and sirens going! (hope everyone was ok!!)

There were so many people there and it was quite loud. This is how poor Grace slept the whole time - with her hands out in front of her, ready for anything! :)
We had a great morning and can't wait for family day next year!!

Busch Gardens

We didn't make any vacation or travel plans for this summer since we weren't sure what our life would look like with two little ones, but Grace is an angel baby and soooo easy. Five out of seven nights a week she sleeps from 9/10pm to 5/6am! She always goes back to sleep for several more hours after her early morning feeding too! Anyway, all that to say that by the end of July we were getting a little stir crazy so we decided to go ahead and get Busch Gardens passes. Best decision ever. It's way easier to take both girls by myself than I thought it would be, a lot of our friends have passes, and the girls (especially Evelyn :)) LOVE it!
The highlight for Evelyn is the Sesame Street Forest of Fun, particularly Elbow (aka Elmo), the other characters, and the shows.
 
She finds the very cool sprinkler park interesting, but not as quite as exciting as I thought she would. Oscar's Yucky Forest playground and the wiggly worm, dragon, and elephant rides seem to trump it. :)

We've already definitely gotten our money's worth and have loved going as a family, with the McHenrys, Tennants, Aunt Emily and Aunt CarCar and look forward to going with Grandma and Grandpa and the youth group girls as well!!!

Children's Museum

Last week we headed to the Richmond Children's Museum with our friends Sarah and Asher. The Clarksons are getting ready to head to the mission field in the Middle East so we're trying to get all our Sarah/Asher time in now. :) Asher is about 6 months younger than Evelyn and they loved playing together. The museum wasn't too crowded and it's perfect for Evie's age and a little older.
I promise that Gracie was at the museum with us (in a matching outfit, even! ;)), but since she spent the entire time in the carrier, there aren't any pictures of her. :(
