The day Aunt Katie came...

Actually, it was more than a day, it was almost a whole week. We LOVED have Katie visit us as part of her post-graduation southern tour (Williamsburg and Orlando :)). Evelyn adored Katie. Anything Aunt Katie did she thought was the coolest ever, from actually cool things like playing the piano to things like blowing her nose and brushing her teeth. Evie was mesmerized by it all. :)
The first morning it all started with Evie's first piano lesson. She was enthralled. She couldn't believe I hadn't taught her about piano earlier! All week, any time we'd walk past the piano she'd reach out for it. :) Finally we had to close it! We're still working on "gentle", but she's getting better. :) Here are some pictures of student playing for teacher and teacher playing for student. :)IMG_1440.JPG IMG_1443.JPG IMG_1447.JPG IMG_1448.JPG IMG_1444.JPG
We did lots of shopping with Aunt Katie helping her get her new professional wardrobe together. She also needed a new purse and our trip to Yankee Candle was Evie's favorite, *especially* because she got to sit in the cart like a big girl!

One day we took the ferry across to Surry to pick the some delicious fresh strawberries. I didn't get any pictures of us actually picking, but here we are waiting for the ferry. IMG_1449.JPG IMG_1450.JPG
Once on the ferry we tried to get a group pictures - Evelyn did *not get what we were trying to do, especially because she got a little squinched. :)

Along the same lines of Evie thinking everything about Katie was super cool, she was very intrigue with the transformation of the couch each morning and evening while Katie was here. :)IMG_1454.JPG IMG_1455.JPG IMG_1456.JPG
We had a wonderful day at Maymount house and gardens as well, but those pictures will be coming in a separate post since there are so many. Keep your eye out for Aunt Katie, Part II!
