March Madness, Part 1: Culpepper

Our March has been a busy month full of lots of fun, friends and family. It all started off with the first weekend - Evelyn got to go on her first girls retreat! Annette and I took the senior high girls on a "wilderness" retreat. They had no idea where we were going (and neither did Annette and I, really - neither of us had seen the place before).

We all packed into 2 cars...

We called the retreat a wildness retreat to throw the girls off, but really it was a good friend's parent's house in downtown Culpepper (her parents were on vacation). Annette and I weren't quite sure what to expect, but we certainly didn't expect the gorgeous victorian house that arrived at!!




The house was amazing. It was so much fun just to chill, hang out, watch movies, talk and play dress up in all the gorgeous vintage hats and gowns in the house (sadly I didn't get too many dress up shots). Evie loved being part of the girls!

After lunch we headed down to downtown Culpepper. There is a great little cafe/diner and we all got milkshakes. They were huge and amazing! Everyone was quite stuffed by the end. :)
Culpepper has a really cute down town. We spent all afternoon walking around and visiting different little shops.

It was a great weekend. Everyone was exhausted by the end, most little Evie! She kept falling asleep in the funniest ways... :)
