Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!!

I can't believe that our little girl is 1! We had so much fun celebrating as a family and with friends this past weekend. On Friday (11.11.11!) we did our family celebration and Evie and I went out to lunch with Grandma, Great-Grandma and Aunt Lisa. Aunt Katie arrived Friday night which was also quite exciting! On Saturday was the party with friends and family.
Here's Evie at the getting ready party. She enjoyed watching all the preparations while she ate and held on to her balloons. :)

She also entertained herself for quite some time with Uncle Aaron's big bear. Here she is showing us how cool it is. :)

We couldn't have done the party without Katie. She was such a huge help!
My friend Karen did all the flowers and helped with the overall decor - we had quite the party during the pre-party! :)

I did a horrible job taking pictures during the party. All these are either taken by Katie or Nathan's dad. Thanks you two!

Cake time! Evie wasn't quite as interested in her cupcake as I'd thought she'd be. She was quite delicate at first. After a few good bites she informed us she was "all done". Oh well, I suppose a love of sweets will come naturally enough and definitely not something I need to push. :)


Evelyn was more into opening the presents than I thought she would be. I think she was just thrilled that I was finally letting her rip paper into tiny pieces and letting her pull all the tissue out of bags. :)
Of course the Fields gave her an OSU hat and cheerleading bear ;)
Thanks to all the family and friends who were able to come! It meant a lot to us to have so many of the people who have played a big role in Evie's life there to celebrate with us!
