Norfolk Botanical Gardens

Last month we headed to Norfolk with our good friends, the McHenrys, to go to the botanical gardens during their azalea festival. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon! Evelyn and Margaret enjoyed riding next to each other in the back of the car. :)IMG_1272.JPG
The gardens were pretty huge, so we first took a tram ride around the park to get a feel for the lay out. IMG_8549.JPG
Then we set off on foot to see everything up close. IMG_1275.JPG IMG_8558.JPGIMG_8547.JPG  IMG_8564.JPG IMG_8568.JPG IMG_8572.JPG
The azaleas, camillas, dogwoods, cherry trees and hydrangeas were especially beautiful! The walk through the "Enchanted Forest" (aka, azalea forest) was great! IMG_8598.JPG IMG_8613.JPG IMG_8602.JPG IMG_8599.JPG IMG_8583.JPG IMG_8586-1.JPG IMG_8594-1.JPGIMG_8592-1.JPG IMG_8589.JPG IMG_8566.JPG
Thanks for the great idea and inviting us to join you, McHenrys!!
