It's a GIRL!!!

Today we had our 20 week ultrasound and we found out that our little baby is a girl! It was one of the most exciting days ever. :) I'm wearing my pink shirt in honor of the occasion. Our little girl is 12 oz and about 10 inches long, but she's not taking up too much room yet as you can see from the picture below. I definitely feel bigger than I look right now. This is me at 20 weeks and 1 day.

Below are some pictures of our little girl. This time we thought the 3D pictures turned out a little better. The regular ultrasound pictures weren't as clear and harder to see. Our little girl was sound asleep during the ultrasound and did not want to be bothered. You can see she is trying to hide her eyes behind her little hands. Nathan was quite relieved to be able to count 5 fingers on each hand. ;) Because she was asleep and the position she was in the doctor was able to get great pictures of all her organs and brain except the heart. The heart beat was normal and the ultrasound and doctor have no concerns, but we'll have another ultrasound in a month or two so they can get pictures of the heart and just check that off their list as well. Hearing that everything looks good and normal was very reassuring and the most exciting part of the ultrasound. :)

Her arm looks so skinny here! We'll work on that. ;)

Since it's so exciting to finally know, we went on a our first baby shopping trip. :) We had so much fun picking out some cute outfits now that we finally know to get PINK and not just gender neutral. :)

We of course had to get the super soft pink sleeper with the elephants embroidered all on it. :)

Nathan was going to get a football if we were having a boy, but since our baby is a girl he though a size 3 girly soccer ball would be more appropriate. ;) I think she will love it. ;) It's rather flat and I think we will leave it that way for a while. ;)

  3. What a great day! I can't wait to meet her. She's already got a great wardrobe started, so I think she'll be just like her Momma. And she might just be the apple of her Daddy's eye. Congrats, you guys!
