Matchy Matchy

While Evelyn and Grace are still young and don't mind, I love dressing my girls matchy matchy. :) My friend Dawn sent them these adorable purple dresses. Dawn and I shared a great love for purple all growing up, especially deep purples like this. :) Here are some pictures of them during our pre-church photo shoot. :) Poor Gracie looks a little squished, because, well. she was getting a little squished. She didn't mind too much though. :)  
My parents gave us these adorable daisy dresses as well - again, another pre-church photo shoot. :) 
They hare several more matching outfits as well which I'm sure you'll see making appearances on this blog. :)
And of course, when matching is available, coordinating works as well. ;)  

Bumbo

Over the weekend we pulled out the bumbo seat for Gracie. :) She's small enough still that the back extends high enough to support her head. :) She was pleased with it, as you can see by her little smiles. :) (Sorry about the horrible quality - this was with the phone and in the hall)

Evie still loves the bumbo seat and was more than happy to hop in as soon as Gracie got out. :)
And yes, that is a Piggly Wiggly shirt that Evie is wearing, courtesy of the youth group girls. :) Piggies are currently her favorite animal and she is thrilled with this shirt! Lol....

Family: Grandpa and Aunts :)

Grandpa and Aunt Katie, Aunt Emily, and Aunt Caroline came down for the weekend to meet Grace and take Nana back home. They were only here a short amount of time, but we packed in as much as we could! Gracie and Evie loved the time with their aunts and Grandpa!!

Evie heard that we were taking pictures and ran to get her camera too! :) Her camera was her "big sister gift" from Grandma and Grandpa M!

My dad brought down some of their day lilies too!! Just what we needed to finish out our garden. :) The plant in the middle is a "Carol Beth" flower... my great-grandfather was a scientist and bred day lilies on the side... this is one of his that he named it after my mom! :) So glad to have one at our home now!

Family: Nana

Nana flew down for a week just a few days after Gracie's arrival. She was wonderful - cooking, cleaning, Evie entertainment committee, Gracie holder/walker/bouncer, taking care of Nathan and me, chauffeur, keeping me company during all the PST meetings... We loved having her here!!
Nana and Evie spent most of Evie's waking time that week together and Evie still asks about Nana almost every day. :) Each morning Nana had a new present for Evie to open that involved some activity that they could do that day... play dough, books, a new CD, cookie cutters, etc. Evelyn loved it.

Nana drove us to VBS so we could be there for the closing ceremony! Evie of course loved seeing all the kids, Miss Annette and all her d-group girls. :)

Family: Grandma and Grandpa

I realized that I haven't put any pictures of Gracie up with all the wonderful family that she got to meet in her first week of life (beyond her parents and sister, of course :)). Grace first got to meet Grandma Mortier!
Grandma was able to come Thursday morning to meet little Gracie. Sadly, Grandpa had a full day of clients all the way past visiting hours at the hospital, but he was there first thing on Friday!
Grandma and Grandpa were wonderful when Gracie arrived. Grandma faithfully kept her phone right by her bed leading up to the due date just in case THE call came in the middle of the night (which, of course, it did!). She was here so fast after our 3:30am call and just took care of everything while we were gone - Evie, shuttling Evie, feeding Evie and us... plus, when we got home our house was super clean, we had fresh flowers on the table, the laundry done, and one very happy toddler. Thanks, Mom and Dad!!

Grandma and Grandpa came over for Father's Day dessert the day after we got home from the hospital. Nathan and Dad got extra big pieces of cake this year for all their additional support and wonderfulness with Grace's arrival. :)

Slip 'n slide!

This past weekend has been the Ronglien family reunion here in Williamsburg. Evie and Grace have enjoyed getting to know aunts, uncles, and cousins from Nathan's mom's side. It's also been scorching hot and humid here all week so this afternoon Evie, Tristin, Garret, and Jackson had a great time playing in Grandma's bug sprinkler and the slip 'n slide from cousin/uncle? Troy. :) Evie LOVED both - here's a video of her on one of her rides down the slip 'n slide. How did she get big enough to go down a slip 'n slide???

Evelyn has also recently discovered daddy's old John Deere tractor and enjoys pushing it around Grandma and Grandpa's yard. :)

Oh and a trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house wouldn't be complete without playing with Grandpa's top collection! :)
